Web-site restrictions

ACAT will be moving to a new web site on Thursday, 10th April.

In preparation, from Friday, 4th April this old web site will not let members renew their membership, and any other changes members make, e.g. their personal details, will get ‘lost in the move’.

Urgent membership renewals should instead be done by contacting Alison Marfell.

York [Hannah Goring]

I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist and Accredited CAT Practitioner with 16 years experience of working in NHS adult mental health services. I work with adults experiencing any type of psychological distress or mental heath difficulty. As a Clinical Psychologist I am trained in a number of different types of psychological therapy, including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), compassion focused therapy and eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR), as well as CAT. I am passionate about CAT as I have found it a powerful approach to help us to undestand and change our patterns of relating to ourselves and others. Within CAT, it is possible to draw on ideas from other approaches and I will tailor therapy according to a person's goals and priorities. I understand that it can be hard to seek help, and I endeavor to create a safe and non judgmental space where people can feel heard and understood, explore their difficulties and start to make changes.

I offer individual therapy to adults and I am also available for CAT training therapies. CAT is typically 16-24 sessions.
