Hello, my name is Andrea.  I am a UKCP Registered CAT Psychotherapist, ACAT Accredited Supervisor and HCPC Registered Practitioner Psychologist (Forensic).  I have 20 years experience of working for the NHS across a range of settings, and have held positions as Clinical Lead and Interim Psychology Department Lead during my employment.  I am now in full time private practice.  I offer a professional and confidential service drawing on my experience of working with adults, with a range of difficulties including anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, work-related stress.

Having a diagnosis is not important to access CAT as I believe it is important that clients are seen as individuals.  The advantage of CAT is that it can help in the development of a shared understanding of presenting difficulties so that any ongoing needs are agreed together.  I therefore pride myself on ensuring each CAT therapy is tailored to each individual client, drawing on other psychological approaches I have been trained in.  I can also work with clients who do not consider themselves to have a mental health problem, but who may feel like they would benefit from a relational and collaborative approach to help them to make changes in their life.
