I began practising as a psychotherapist in 2007, working in a trauma service using CBT and EMDR. I discovered Cognitive Analytic Therapy in 2013 whilst working in a Community Mental Health Team and completed CAT Practitioner training in 2017. I have been working with the Cognitive Analytic Therapy model in NHS, independent and third sector settings since.

I use CAT as a direct therapy, both as a pure model and alongside EMDR and other therapy techniques. I work with both adults and young people and hope to support improved emotional wellbeing through shared understanding. 

I aim to offer a supportive therapeutic relationship that encourages understanding of the challenges you might be facing, promote recognition of patterns of coping and relating and offer alternatives to the, sometimes unhelpful, ways in which we try to cope with challenges and struggles.

I also use CAT as model for assessment for my work in family court proceedings and as a consultation tool to support teams and individuals to work with people with challenging lives. 

 I am Accredited as a CAT Practitioner and as a CAT Supervisor. I also supervise other therapist and trainees.
