Taunton [Caroline Shinner]

I am a Clinical Psychologist and ACAT-accredited CAT Practitioner. I have worked in NHS secondary Mental Health services for over 13 years, and have additionally been in private practice since 2021. I have experience of working with adults with a range of mental health presentations, particularly complex trauma and relational difficulties. 

I aim to offer a compassionate space in which to use CAT to help people to identify and make sense of patterns of relating with themselves and others which may be underpinning some of their difficulties, and work towards more helpful ways of relating. 

I have also completed training in other therapy interventions, including EMDR and ACT, which can be helpful to integrate with CAT where appropriate. 

I currently offer appointments on Wednesday and Thursday daytimes.
