I am a Cognitive Analytic Therapist (CAT Practitioner) working with adults with a large range of mental health difficulties.  I offer a non-judgmental and compassionate space to work alongside you.  CAT therapy provides a safe and nurturing framework to be able to explore your thoughts and feelings at a pace that suits you.  I am passionate abut making each therapy journey a holistic and nurturing process.  Cognitive Analytic Therapy focusses on understanding how past experiences influence current relationships, and on how we might relate to ourselves

Often mental health difficulties can be better understood when we consider each individuals unique perception of the world. I have a particular special interest in working with those that consider themselves in anyway neurodiverse, for example but not exclusively Autism, ADHD or PDA (demand avoidance), or those that are without a diagnosis but would like to explore their neurodiversity therapeutically.  I have worked for over 22 years in an Educational context, and hold a MEd in Autism. My work has been with young adults and their families.  I have also worked with adults with and without neurodiversity in an NHS secondary care setting.  I have a deep respect that understanding the diverse ways in which people can experience and process the world can be a vital part of our being able to access, thrive and benefit from therapy.  CAT is a highly collaborative approach to therapy and tailored to individual experiences, which can be helpful for neurodiverse people who may have unique ways of thinking and processing information.  CAT can be adapted to suit different cognitive styles and communication preferences making it accessible for all.

I am happy to work online or in person.  In person work is based in Midhurst, West Sussex.  Please contact me directly to arrange an initial meeting and assessment.  CAT typically uses between 16 to 24 weeks for the therapy journey.  I can also offer longer term work that is at a pace adapted to individual needs.
