CPD Update

I have now been ACAT's first CPD Coordinator for two years and the role has been developing as time goes by. Of course once ACAT's 'virtual office' is in place later this autumn, there will be many more opportunities for members to network with each other and to express their views about CPD. However there will still be a need for a Coordinator, and at this stage the role involves:

Responding to members' queries about CPD, helping them to network with one another, and acting as a promoter of information to them about various aspects of CPD.
Canvassing members on their CPD needs and passing requests for specific seminars or workshops to the CPD Event Co-ordinators, Annie Nehmad and John Bristow.
Helping to develop a data-base of members who would be prepared to run these events.
Acting as a liaison with ACAT Council on CPD matters.

Does this meet your needs, or do you have suggestions as to other ways in which the role could be developed? Please make your views known either direct to me or at the ACAT AGM on 22nd November.
