Web-site restrictions

ACAT will be moving to a new web site on Thursday, 10th April.

In preparation, from Friday, 4th April this old web site will not let members renew their membership, and any other changes members make, e.g. their personal details, will get ‘lost in the move’.

Urgent membership renewals should instead be done by contacting Alison Marfell.

NHSE (South West) CAT Practitioner Training 2025 to 2027

This training is funded by NHS England & is specifically for clinicians working with adults and older people in community services with complex relational difficulties and adverse childhood experience (who may have attracted the ‘EUPD’/BPD’ diagnosis). 

Criteria for Application: Applicants will be capable of postgraduate study, have a core mental health-care profession, and at least 1 year of experience delivering psychological therapy and working with people with complex emotional and relational difficulties.

Training days on the South-West course are at the Future Skills Centre near Exeter.  Cost: NHS England will meet all fees (including personal therapy).

How to Apply

Step One: You will need agreement from your professional lead and line manager, who will need to discuss availability of places with the person in your Trust who is nominated to oversee NHS-England training requests.

Step Two: Once done please email cft.cat-sw@nhs.net and ask for an application form.

Step Three: Face-to-face interviews will be held on Monday 2nd December and Tuesday 10th December 2024 at the Future Skills Centre (https://fscexeter.com).
