Two Day Introduction to CAT - offered by Norfolk & Suffolk NHS FT
3rd October 2024 to 10th October 2024

This two-day course runs on:

Thursday 3rd October 2024 & Thursday 10th October 2024

This course will be running live online using Zoom.

The timing is from 9.30 a.m. until 4.30 p.m. on both days.

It is essential that you can make the commitment to attend both sessions.

Places are limited, so to avoid disappointment please register your interest and return the application form by Friday 6th September 2024.

These sessions will aim to introduce you to the basic principles & concepts that underpin this integrative, time-limited psychological model.  We will look at how an understanding of CAT can enhance your clinical practice.   We also discuss the CAT specific tools that can help you in your clinical work.

The days consist of presentations, discussions, videos and small group work, with the emphasis upon gaining a working knowledge of CAT and how some of these skills can be applied to clinical practice.  As the course will be running over Zoom, virtual large group and smaller break out rooms, will be used with regular breaks and individual exercises to make the course interactive and reduce ‘Zoom fatigue’.

Attendance at an introductory course is a pre-requisite for applying to an ACAT accredited CAT Practitioner training course or undertaking CAT case work under supervision. This course has been designed to meet that requirement.

Attendees will receive a certificate of attendance confirming the 12 training hours for this course.

Fees:

The course is free to NSFT staff.

Cost of training to external applicants £150.00
