Applications are now invited for the next intake of the SOUTH LONDON COGNITIVE ANALYTIC THERAPY PRACTITIONER TRAINING. The course starts in October 2024 with an Introductory Workshop on 26th & 27th July 2024.  This course is organised by the Association for Cognitive Analytic Therapy in conjunction with the Lambeth Secondary Care Psychological Therapies in South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. 151 Blackfriars Road, London.

Course Director: Hilary Beard

Co-Trainers: Wendy Giovanelli

Course Administrator: Niki Larsen-Johnson

To find out more about the course and how to apply, please see the attached summary of the course requirements and further information, including the application form.

The course fees are £2985 per year. This includes the cost of training days, seminars, tutorials, marking, part payment towards attending the annual ACAT Conference and ACAT’s yearly trainee registration fee. It does not include the cost of personal psychotherapy and supervision. To enable Healthcare professionals from within South London & Maudsley Trust to apply for the course a reduction in the course fees of £250 per annum will be offered. The course aims at recruiting Healthcare professionals from within South London & Maudsley Trust together with staff from other NHS Trusts who may be interested in attending the course. The initial priority for selection will be for applicants who are able to take up a CAT clinical placement within SLAM NHS Trust during the life of the course as the course contributes to the CAT clinical service within SLAM NHS Trust.

Applicants who hope to take up a CAT clinical placement in other Trusts are also welcomed and encouraged to apply as the selection process focuses also on welcoming applicants from diverse settings.

The intake for this course is biennial and early applications are therefore encouraged.

If you have any further enquiries about the course, please do not hesitate to contact Niki Larsen-Johnson (niki.larsen@acat.me.uk  or 07564920824).
